E la don don is from a collection of Spanish and Calatan Carols printed in Italy. The collection contains other favorites, including Riu, Riu, Chiu.

The only surviving copy was found in the royal libraries in Upsala, Sweden. Hence, the collection has come to be known as the "Cancionero de Upsala". The version presented here is true to that original score, and maintains the original melody, harmony, and rhythms. Enjoy!
