Winter Medley was an original work commissioned from Edwin Wendler by Illumni Men's Chorale for their inaugural concerts in 2009.

Mr Wendler is an experienced Hollywood film composer, and grew up in the Vienna Boys Choir in his native country of Austria.

Of this work, Mr Wendler states:

“The combination of music-making and storytelling has always fascinated me. Winter Medley aims to take the listener on a journey from the cold of winter to a drinking-song-type celebration of the season, to the warm, intimate setting of a mother singing her baby to sleep. Many heart-felt thanks to Christopher McCafferty and the Illumni Men’s Chorale for this commission!”.
